FAQ

The questions that actually come up.

How are AI generation costs handled?
During the beta, you bring your own OpenRouter API key — you pay only the underlying model cost. When the SaaS layer launches, we'll proxy AI calls through Rank Core AI with bundled token allowances per plan, so most users won't need a separate OpenRouter account.
Does it work with Bricks, Elementor, or my custom theme?
Yes. The plugin is theme-agnostic and operates as a foundation layer beneath your builder. We've tested with Bricks, Elementor, Gutenberg, Oxygen, and classic theme setups. FAQ blocks ship as both a Gutenberg block and a shortcode.
Can I run this on a multisite or across multiple domains?
Multisite is supported with per-site BKB overrides. Multi-domain across separate WordPress installs becomes much smoother once the SaaS dashboard ships — one license, one place to manage all your properties.
Is it GDPR compliant? Where is data stored?
The plugin stores everything inside your own WordPress database. No data leaves your server unless you trigger an AI generation, in which case the prompt goes to your selected provider through OpenRouter under their terms. The forthcoming SaaS layer will be EU-hosted with a DPA available for enterprise plans.
Will this conflict with Yoast or Rank Math if I already have one installed?
Yes — running two SEO plugins simultaneously creates duplicate meta and schema. We recommend disabling Yoast or Rank Math before activating Rank Core AI. A migration assistant is on the roadmap for the SaaS launch.
What happens to my schema and BKB if I uninstall?
By default we leave your data in place on uninstall, so reactivating later restores everything. You can opt into a full purge in the plugin settings before deactivation if you want a clean removal.
When does the SaaS layer launch and what changes for existing plugin users?
We're targeting a 90-day window for MVP. Existing beta users keep working with the standalone plugin and will get a one-click upgrade path to the SaaS dashboard with their data preserved. Backwards compatibility is a hard requirement.
